Freemasons in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Support Local Farnborough School

Music being an interest and indeed a passion to many Freemasons throughout the Province of Hampshire & IOW, when the North East Area were asked if we could help establish a music room for one of our local schools, Fernhill in Farnborough, our appeal for new and second hand musical instruments was launched.

Mr John Hirst contacted us with the very generous offer of his late father’s electronic organ.
The late W Bro Tommy Hirst, a member of Ferneberga Lodge No 6314 in Farnborough, was a very accomplished organist, often playing for several local lodges, churches and at Masonic funerals. His wish was that the organ went to a good home and that it would be used.

The organ was gladly received by Mrs Victoria Crowe of the Music Department at Fernhill School, presented by W Bro Peter Vosser APGM, W Bro Simon Banham NEA Chairman, W Bro Steve Russell NEA Charity Steward and W Bro Simon Baigent.

Any Freemasons or Lodges who have, in particular any percussion instruments, or financial support they would like to donate, please contact W Bro Simon Baigent on 07985070590 or simonbaigent@virginmedia.com

We are hoping to make a further presentation to Mrs Crowe at the Royal British Legion concert to be held at the Farnborough Masonic Centre in February 2020.
